What is the plot of You People?

The plot of the movie centres on Ezra Cohan (Jonah Hill) and Amira Mohammed (Lauren London), who fall in love after a rideshare mix-up in Los Angeles. While everything appears to go swimmingly at first, their respective families test their relationship. As Ezra's progressive and semi-woke parents (Julia Louis-Dreyfus and David Duchovny) meet Amira's tough-as-nails, concerned parents, the families clash over culture, generational differences and societal expectations.

At the core of the movie, the plot centres on the romance between a white Jewish man and a Black Muslim woman. With comedy movies typically ending with happiness and victory, we're pretty sure that these two characters will overcome all hurdles to be together and forge an enviable life ahead. However, others defended Kenya, as one waded into the conversation, stating: "All these crime show dramas like Power, Snowfall, and BMF and no one says anything about "new content."
