‘WIN BEFORE THEY SING’ 2015 on Heart Network

RULES
1)    The following rules (“Specific Rules”) together with the general competition terms and conditions (which can be found at http://www.heart.co.uk/terms-conditions/) (the “ Competition Terms and Conditions”) of Global (as defined in the Competition Terms and Conditions) apply to the ‘Win Before They Sing’ radio competition (the “Competition") which will run from 17/8/2015 to 21/8/15 on The Heart Network (the “Radio Station”).
2)    Anyone who enters the Competition (an “Entrant”) will be deemed to have understood these Rules along with the Terms and Conditions and will be bound by them.  The Terms and Conditions are available on request from the Radio Station.
3)    The promoter of the Competition is the Radio Station (the “Promoter”). The prize shall be allocated by the Promoter. easyJet Airline Company Limited shall provide part of the Prize as defined below, and shall be acting as the Promoter partner for the purpose of this Competition (the “Partner”, or alternatively “easyJet”).

Details of the Competition:
4)    To enter the competition, an entrant must answer the question given on air by the presenter(s).
5)    Send a text message with the word “WIN” and their answer to 82122 (the “Text Message Line”). The Text System will not recognize any other format of the keyword.
6)    Text messages will be charged at £1 plus one standard rate message.
7)    The opening and closing times of the Text Message Line will be given out on-air by the presenter(s). If entrants text in after the closing time they won’t be entered but may still be charged. Global Radio is not responsible for any latency experienced by your mobile phone network which may delay the delivery of your text message to us.
8)    After the closing time, one entrant will be selected from all those received during the valid entry period. That person will be brought to air to play ‘Win Before They Sing’.
9)    The person randomly selected to play each round will win the prize of £100 just for coming on air.
10)    The player will then need to identify the name of a track played from the introduction and before the artist begins to sing the first full line of the song. The player’s first answer will be taken as their answer and the producer’s decision is final. The track will be the usual Heart edit and may differ from alternative versions of the same song. The length of the introduction will vary from track to track.
11)    If the player correctly identifies the track, they will be entered into the weekly prize draw on Friday afternoon. If the player answers incorrectly, they will not be entered into the Friday prize draw. The player will receive the sum of £100 whether they identify the track correctly or not.
12)    All players will be required to talk to the presenter/s and a call will be recorded with the presenter/s and played on-air. If the caller doesn’t answer their phone, is driving at the time of the call and is unable to pull over, or cannot continue the call for any reason, the call may be terminated and another entrant selected at random.
13)    The number of rounds played each day is flexible and will be decided at the discretion of Heart with a maximum of 35 rounds played during the week. Competition rounds will be announced in advance by the presenter(s) on-air. Heart reserves the right to take the game off air for bank holidays or at other times when programming output requires it.

14)    For the avoidance of doubt, each competition round is a separate round and the text system will be re-set after each round.

15)    Additionally, there will be one competition round during the week where an additional prize of an Easyjet Holiday will be available (see below). The presenter will announce on-air when this round is being played. The timing of this round will be determined in advance by the producer.

16)    The player who is randomly selected to play ‘Win Before They Sing’ during this additional round will automatically be awarded the Easyjet Holiday whether they qualify to enter the weekly draw on Friday or not.

17)    Each Friday during the competition, there will be a weekly prize draw. Every player who has correctly identified the track played from the song introduction they were given will be entered into a single draw and one winner will be selected at random. This winner will win the prize.
18)    For the avoidance of doubt, each weekly competition is a separate competition.
19)    If there are no eligible players available for the Friday prize draw then a random draw will take place from every entrant who entered correctly across the qualifying period for that draw. This entrant will be deemed as the winner.
20)    The competition winner will be required to talk to the presenter/s and a call will be recorded with the presenter/s and played on-air. If the caller doesn’t answer their phone, is driving at the time of the call and is unable to pull over, or cannot continue the call for any reason, the call may be terminated and another entrant selected at random.
21)    Players and Winners will be required to take part in publicity (including interviews) with national and regional media at the request of Heart and/or Easyjet. By entering this competition you agree that Heart and/ or Easyjet may use your name, hometown, photo and any video or audio recording of your contribution for advertising and promotional purposes without additional notice or compensation, unless prohibited by law.

Eligibility:
21.     All players must be 18 or over.
22. You can enter each round of the competition a maximum of 3 times. We strongly advise against excessive use.

23. All successful players must be available to be contacted between 3pm and 4pm on the Friday of the week they have played.

24. Entrants shall all be in possession for a valid passport at the date of travels.
25. Entrants shall ensure that they have read and understood the terms and conditions available at the following URL: http://www.easyjet.com/en/terms-and-conditions for the flight element, and http://www.easyjet.com/en/holidays/info/booking-conditions/ for the Holiday Prize.
26. Entrants shall ensure that they are in good physical condition for flying, and that they have obtained all the relevant authorizations and consents before enjoying their Holiday Prize.

Prize:

27. Global Radio reserves the right to substitute any part of any prize at any time.

Cash:
28.   The prize available for each week is £10,000, which will be paid to the winner by cheque or bank transfer at Heart’s discretion.
29. Each weekly prize must be won by a separate individual. £10,000 prize winners will be ineligible to enter any further rounds.
30. Every contestant randomly selected to come on air to play a round will win the sum of £100.  This will be paid to the contestant by cheque or bank transfer at Heart’s discretion.
31. Prizes are non-transferrable.

Holiday:
32.
•    easyJet shall  provide a total of 11 Holiday Prizes each comprising a package of both flight and hotel  to the following destinations (the “Holiday Prize”). The Holiday Prize will be subject to these Specific Rules and to the Partner’s terms and conditions available at: http://www.easyjet.com/en/holidays/info/booking-conditions/, and http://www.easyjet.com/en/terms-and-conditions for the flight element of the Holiday Prize.

Prize Package Week 11 (17th-21st August 2015):
-    7 Day stay in Costa Adeje, Tenerife for two Adults, two children (age 2-14. Infants can be accepted, but easyJet must be notified.)

-    Staying in the 4 star Fañabe Costa Sur Hotel.

-    Room type: Family Room Standard.

-    Bed & Breakfast basis.
-     Return Transfers from the airport to hotel
-     Travel Insurance.

•    Prizes need to be booked by September the 30th and taken by 28th February 2016 and are subject to availability.
•    As part of the Holiday Prize, some rooms will be provided on i) a self-catered basis, ii) half board basis or iii) full board basis depending on the accommodation provider. The Promoter shall be informing winners with all the details related to their accommodation in reasonable delay once the Holiday Prize has been allocated. The Partner shall make available to the Entrants on www.easyJet.com/holiday a dedicated URL for the Holiday Prize and maintain it active for the duration of the Competition. Such URL shall be providing the Entrants information and details with regards to the Holiday Prize, such as booking window, components of the package and departure and arrival airports.   
•    Entrants are responsible for meeting any costs related to obtaining cover for any pre-existing medical conditions.
•    The Partner hereby warrants to the Promoter that:
•    it will supply each holiday-Prize to the Prize Winner on terms which are no less favourable than those imposed upon other customers purchasing the same holiday on the publicly available Partner’s website;
•    It will supply each Holiday Prize upon receiving from the Promoter handling house details of the name, postal address and age of each Prize Winner of a Holiday Prize following verification by the handling house;
•    The Partner will process each holiday-Prize winner’s booking within a reasonable time-frame;
•    the staff respond to all Holiday-Prize claims and redeem the Holiday Prizes and in a professional, informed, and helpful manner,
•    it will not  alter the Competition Terms and Conditions unless, and
•    it will only request personal data from Customers which is essential for the purpose of redeeming the Holiday Prize and complying with safety and security procedures. .
•    It will only use the data of Entrants for the purpose of the Competition.
•    The Partner shall not be liable for any direct and indirect loss of personal data and loss of entries.
•    Nothing in these Specific Rules shall limit or exclude the Promoter or Partner’s liability for personal injury or death caused by negligence or liability for fraud.
