Colchester: Stab Victim Critical

A man is in a life-threatening condition in hospital after being stabbed in Colchester.

Essex Police were called to Tynedale Square in the Highwoods area of the town at 21:25 on Monday evening.

A 38-year-old from Harwich was taken to Colchester General with stab wounds.

Four people have been arrested on suspicion of GBH - three men aged 22, 37 and 40 - and a woman aged 28.

Detectives are investigating whether the incident was sparked by a dispute between neighbours.

Earlier this month teenager Jay Whiston was fatally stabbed at a house party in the Lexden area of Colchester.
